Truly located in the heart of Corrales – within walking distance of Old San Ysidro Church and the Rio Grande Bosque - this property is also my dream – my heart!
First and foremost, this is my home – so privacy and quality of life are extremely important to me.
While I live in the main house with my two small dogs, Jesse James and Sundance Kid (Jesse and Sunny), I offer two lovely rooms that are part of the main house with queen size beds, attached private bathrooms, and separate entrances for my guests.
There is also a newly renovated 320 square foot casita on the property that is separate from the main house. The casita has a king size bed and a trundle bed – which converts from a sofa in the day to a twin or double bed at night – and can sleep four adults comfortably. It also includes a shower bathroom, a small kitchenette with under counter refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster (no cooktop), and a lovely armoire for hanging clothes and storing linens. The kitchenette is stocked with dishes and paper products, condiments, fresh fruit, locally made pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and granola – everything you need for a quick start in the morning.
Guests may also choose to have a hot, freshly cooked breakfast served between 7:30-9:30AM at your request. In addition, there are several amazing restaurants within walking distance of the property that offer local fare, and I will be happy to make recommendations depending on guest preferences.
The two attached rooms include coffee makers and small refrigerators, which are also stocked with yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and water. Each of these rooms has their own entrance and access to the lovely courtyard. There are no televisions in any of the rooms, but free WiFi is available.
Extra linens (bed and bath) and toiletries, such as shampoos, conditioners, soaps, etc., are stocked in each room, and a clothes hamper is also provided if you wish use fresh towels daily or change bedding. If you run out of clean linens or need additional items, just let me know.
The secluded, one acre, smoke free property can also be pet friendly – but please call first to discuss; a small additional one-time fee of $50 may be required. The property is located at the end of a short cul-de-sac, and is completely fenced. There is a pedestrian gate and an electronic gate to the driveway, which can be opened to guests for parking on the property.
Check in / out times are generally flexible and based upon individual travel needs; if there are new guests arriving back-to-back, then a specific check out /check in time will be specified upon booking – please call to confirm if you reserve on-line (505) 891-4408. A deposit of the first night's lodging is required when reserving rooms. A full refund is available if reservations are cancelled 48 hours before first night’s stay, or one week before reservations made during Balloon Fiesta, Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Again, the main house is my private home – access to the reception area, entertainment room, barbecue and kitchen area are negotiable or by invitation only; however, I do love to entertain and often host an afternoon “happy hour” when guests are present.
Payment options include Visa and Master Card, cash or check. I do include sales tax (7.5625%) and the required Lodger’s Tax in addition to specified room rates.
Coming from Santa Fe / Placitas / Bernalillo Areas:
Head south on 528 to Corrales Road and turn left (east). Follow approximately 4 miles to Target Road (it’s the first street after Corrales Bistro – Corrales Elementary School is also on this road). Follow to end of road to stop sign (ditch) and turn left. The very next street on left is Senescu Ct. (pavement ends and dirt road begins). I am at the end of the cul-de-sac. Park in the turn-about and enter through pedestrian gate (old bell hangs from arch), being mindful to latch gate after entering so my two small dogs won’t escape :>)
Coming from I-25 Albuquerque / Sunport Area:
Head west on Alameda off I-25 to Corrales Road (Sprouts shopping center is on NW corner). Turn right (north) and follow approximately 4 miles to Target road – just before Corrales Bistro. Follow directions highlighted above – Welcome!
